Questionnaire: Sustainable shipping and harbours in and around the Wadden Sea

 

The project “Sustainable shipping and harbours at the Wadden Sea” is an 18 months project funded by the german "Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt" (DBU). The project consists of more than 10 organisations and their representatives from the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark in the shipping and ports sector as well as from nature conservation. The basic intention of the cooperation is to work on mutual understanding and joint approaches for sustainable shipping and ports in the Wadden Sea Region. 

 

The overarching goal of the project is therefore to develop and enable a joint dialogue process that ensures long-term and trustful cooperation between these sectors. Specifically, this means:

  • Assess the status quo regarding nature friendly and sustainable shipping and port operation at the Wadden Sea together with the industry.

  • Establish a sustainable and long lasting dialogue platform concerning the issues of shipping and ports in and around the World Heritage site Wadden Sea.

  • Create a trustful, resilient, constructive and productive working environment between the sectors of nature and environmental conservation and shipping as well as ports.

In order to develop such a dialogue process, we would like to get the input of important stakeholders in the Wadden Sea Region. Therefore, we would like to invite you to support the project consortium and we kindly ask you to fill in this questionnaire.
